The Forgotten Army – Azaadi Ke Liye

Directed by Kabir Khan, the Forgotten Army – Azaadi ke Liye is an Indian web series based on true events about the men and women in the Indian National Army (INA) led by Subash Chandra Bose. The series stars Sunny Kaushal and Sharvari.
The show depicts a series of events from World War II to Myanmar fighting. Captain Sodhi is the main lead who is recalling his memories in the INA, so the story switches between current (1996) and 1946. Captain Sodhi brings back the memories of him as a lieutenant in the British Indian Army. Lt. Sodhi meets a beautiful photographer Maya who joins the Indian National Army. Maya inspires Sodhi to change and he eventually falls in love with her. The romantic saga between the two will keep you engaged throughout the runtimes.

The list of organ recipients is long and Josh doesn’t have much time. So, Danny plans to kill the organ donors so that Josh moves up on the list.
Along with the Danny-Josh story, a story of cop Kabir Sawant (Sadh) runs parallel. The cop had lost his daughter to a gunshot wound because he forgot to lock his gun. He passes his days drowning his guilt in bottles of alcohol and investigating murders of organ donors. With stellar performances from Madhavan and Sadh, Breathe is one of the best Indian series on Amazon Prime.
Afsos
An Indian black comedy web series directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and starring Gulshan Devaiah, Sulguna Panigrahi, Anjali Patil and Hebba Shah, Afsos follows the story of a depressed man Nakul.
Nakul is a struggling writer based in Mumbai who is having a hard time coping with personal guilt and unemployment. This leads him on a suicidal path and he tries various ways to end his life. After many failed attempts to take his life, Nakul approaches an agency “Emergency Exit” which specialises in assisted suicide and orders a hit on himself. The agency assures him that his death will be certain as the job will be handled by Upadhyay, a ruthless killer who is very committed to her assignment.
With time, Nakul changes his mind and wants to live. Most importantly, he has to escape from the assassin who never leaves her task unfinished. The story continues with the assassin chasing Nakul to complete her job.
Pushpavalli
Created by Sumukhi Suresh, Pushpavalli is a comedy-drama series which tells the story of an obsessed stalker whose only ambition is to date the object of her affection.
Pushpavalli, a Brahmin girl pursuing her food science degree in Bhopal, one day attends a food conference. Here, she meets Nikhil Rao from Bengaluru who is quite jovial with her. Pushpavalli has a crush on Nikhil and she moves from Bhopal to Bengaluru believing that he likes her too. In fact, she finds a job on the same street as him to be closer to him.
Nikhil is oblivious to Pushpavalli’s obsessive ways in the beginning but as it starts getting creepy, he worries for himself and his safety. This show has a unique charm to it and some great moments which will definitely have you laughing out loud.
Hostel Daze
It goes without saying that any series made on Engineering and hostel life is applauded by the Indian audience. From the makers of Kota Factory: Saurabh Khanna, Sameer Saxena and Raghav Subbu, Hostel Daze takes you on a laughter ride through the corridors of hostel life which celebrates the adventures of four students and wing-mates.
What follows is a friendship forged by innocent love, falling grades and aching heartbreaks. Though the story may not seem to be fresh, the entire cast has given a new touch to it. Hostel Daze will keep you hooked up in front of your screen during the entire season.
Mind the Malhotras
Directed by Sahil Sanga and Ajay Bhuyan and co-produced by Dia Mirza, Mind the Malhotras is a completely family-based show on Israeli comedy La Famiglia. The show follows the story of the Malhotra family who is experiencing a midlife crisis and contact therapist to solve their problems.
Malhotra couple Rishabh and Shefali Malhotra have two girls, one boy and Rishabh’s mother in their family. The couple, who are enjoying their life, gets frightened to the core when one of their friends gets divorced. This leads them to seek a therapist to prevent their divorce and this is where the story unfolds.
Both Rishabh and Shefali start explaining their problems in the episodes and how they cope with their differences leads to the end of the story. The plot is quite good and can be watched with the whole family.
Four More Shots Please!
Created by Rangita Pritish Nandy, Four More Shots Please! follows the story of 4 women who meet each other accidentally in a bar. They develop friendship between each other sharing their stories and being part of each other’s life.
All 4 of them have their own set of problems, so the world seems to be completely naïve to them. Though the show keeps you engaged, it could have been better if it had highlighted the real problems that women are facing nowadays. You can go for Four More Shots Please! if there is nothing on your watchlist.
